Brant Economic Development Advisory Committee

As an advisory committee to County Council, the mandate of the Brant Economic Development Advisory Committee (BEDAC) is to advise Council on matters pertaining to economic development issues to both sustain and ensure the vitality of the municipality's economic base.

In addition, the Committee fosters alliances and partnerships between individuals, businesses, organizations and government through financial and other means to advance the County’s Strategic Plan for economic development. It provides a forum for discussion and coordination of economic development initiatives and programs with other community groups and agencies.

Committee meetings are held on the third Thursday of each month and are open to the general public.  If you are a pro-active and forward thinking individual who either resides or operates a business in the County, the Department would appreciate your knowledge and expertise as a member of the group.

If you have any further questions or comments about the Committee, or would like to request to be a delegation to highlight an important issue as it relates to economic development, we welcome you to e-mail the Committee Chair to discuss further.
